MIILA's main programs are ESL (English as a Second Language) and FSL (French as a Second Language) courses.
These programs are available throughout the year. The learning system is organized in 9 levels from beginner to advanced and students can start any Monday of the year.
Our groups have a reduced capacity. Between 6 to 10 students per group.
All of our teachers have university experience and at least a TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certificate.
Classes strengthen the four basic language skills: speaking, writing, listening and reading, developing the confidence to use the language in a variety of settings.
Volunteer for projects full time. They are performed at federally registered charities in community service, environment, or wildlife protection.
This is the most popular option among international students. This Program includes grammar and conversation courses from Monday to Friday. Depending on your level you will have classes in the mornings or in the afternoons, in addition, it will help you improve your language skills through activities, games, practical exercises, additional workshops and real life situations.
If you want to improve your language skills much faster and your stay in Montreal is short, this program is made for you as it combines the regular program from Monday to Friday with a selection of activities and workshops. The intensive program is designed to help you quickly master new language skills.
